The KPL Grand Finals 2025 officially kicked off on September 28 and will run until November 8, 2025. This premier Honor of Kings event stands as the largest mobile esports tournament in China, featuring a record-breaking prize pool of ¥70 million (≈ USD 9.8 million). The grand finals are held offline at the Beijing National Stadium (Bird’s Nest), the iconic venue that has now transformed into the epicenter of global esports attention.

About KPL Grand Finals 2025

The King Pro League (KPL) is the top-tier professional league for Honor of Kings in China, organized by TiMi Studios and Hero Esports. The KPL Grand Finals 2025 marks the second edition of the league’s ultimate championship event, replacing the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC) as China’s highest-tier competition.
AG Super Play, the defending champions from 2024, aim to retain their title this year.

The 2025 edition is hosted at the Beijing National Stadium, which seats over 90,000 spectators. The opening ceremony, themed “Legends of the Crown”, celebrated the journey of all competing teams toward the coveted KPL title.
This year’s event is even grander than before, showcasing cutting-edge broadcast technology, massive stage production, and a more competitive tournament system.

KPL Grand Finals 2025 Tournament Format

The tournament unfolds in four stages across three major Chinese cities:

  • Knockout Stage (Oct 17 – Nov 2, Changsha)
The top eight teams compete in a Double Elimination Bo7 format. Teams eliminated twice are knocked out.

  • Grand Finals (Nov 8, Beijing)
The final two teams face off in a Best of 7 series using the Global Ban/Pick Ultimate Battle system, demanding deep hero pools and diverse strategies.
