RRQ Hoshi has become one of the teams that have suffered from a miserable start in the MPL ID Season 7. They seem to be still finding their best formula to actually perform this season, one of which by player rotation.

The absence of XINN in this season has prompted Acil, the coach of RRQ Hoshi, to struggle to find a suitable replacement to fill the void left by the player. To top it off, fans are left baffled as to why Lemon hasn’t been playing so far.

The impact of their inconsistency resulted in RRQ Hoshi suffering from consecutive defeats in Week 3, they lost the El Clasico and were beaten by Genflix Aerowolf in the next match. So, what should RRQ Hoshi do to get back to their level this season? Here’s our take on the issue.

1. Develop a Stronger Chemistry Between Players

The Chemistry between the players is crucial on the battlefield. This season, RRQ Hoshi has brought in several new players, such as Psychoo, Skylar, and Taka. 

From those three, only Psychoo and Skylar seemed to have solidified their roles in the lineup, while Taka only made an appearance in the match against ONIC Esports.

It definitely takes a certain approach for these new players to adapt to the signature playstyle of the team, and chemistry is what the Kings desperately need right now.

2. Find the Best Roster!

It’s not easy to find the best roster of a team, but that’s what RRQ Hoshi should push for right now. Sitting in seventh place in the standings, RRQ Hoshi is arguably in its worst condition as they only managed to grab two wins out of six matches so far.

Aside from RRQ Hoshi, EVOS Legends actually suffered from a similar case where they were left by their main Core, Wann. Not to mention, they currently have no Tank main with LJ still recovering, whereas Darkness is still unsuitable for EVOS Legends’ playstyle.

It seems that RRQ Hoshi isn’t the only team dealing with a player crisis, other teams also experiencing the same thing. With Week 4 of the MPL ID Season 7 about to begin, RRQ has to make some changes -- if they’re to retain their title this season.

3. A New Playstyle for RRQ Hoshi, Why Not?

If the new players are having difficulties adapting to RRQ Hoshi’s playstyle from the previous season, why not come up with a new one? A playstyle that would match RRQ Hoshi’s current roster. 

However, based on RRQ Hoshi’s matches so far, it looks like Acil has made some changes, such as assigning Vyn as the Tank, and Psychoo as the Support/Midlaner. 

Regardless, these changes weren’t enough to bring an instant impact for them. Let’s hope that Acil is making the best out of the break to find a playstyle that actually works with RRQ Hoshi -- to get them out of the bottom of the standings.
