The official Twitter account of Tamako Market by Kyoto Animation will have a 10th Anniversary Project, as announced on Monday, January 9, 2023.  2023, but it doesn't reveal what kind of project that the studio is working on.

Tamako Market series premiered on January 9, 2013. The series was released by Kyoto Animation, the studio behind K-On!

Naoko Yamada is directing the anime, and Reiko Yoshida is in charge of the series scripts. Other K-On! staffs, namely Yukiko Horiguchi, designed the characters. It's unclear whether the original Tamako Market anime staff are involved in the 10th-anniversary project.

Tamako Market tells about Tamako, an ordinary young girl whose family is a mochi maker for generations. On the eve of her birthday, she happens to meet a talking bird who claimed to be a palace official. The talking bird is looking for a bride for his master. After that encounter, Dera the bird decides to stay near her and become a part of Tamako's life and the neighborhood she lives in.

Sentai Filmworks released Tamako Market on DVD in 2014 and Blu-ray in 2016. The sequel, titled Tamako Love Story premiered in Japan in April 2014. The main staff and cast of the original series returned to the film. Sentai Filmworks also licensed the film and released it on Blu-ray and DVD in 2017.
