The anime series based on Hirohiko Araki's manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean has been streaming on Netflix since Wednesday, December 1, 2021. The second episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean revealed that the anime’s ending song entitled “Distant Dreamer” is performed by popular international singer Duffy. Universal Music Japan confirmed the reveal of the ending theme song on its Twitter.

Netflix began streaming the 12-episode JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean anime globally on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. The series will also premiere on Japanese television in January 2022 on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11.

David Production is back to produce JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime series. Kenichi Suzuki is back after working on Part 1-3 as the main director. Toshiyuki Kato (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable series director, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan director) is the director.

Yasuko Kobayashi is returning from the previous JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime to handle series composition. Masanori Shino (Black Lagoon, Gungrave, No Guns Life) is designing the characters. Shun'ichi Ishimoto (Chief Animation Director of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind) is the Stand character designer. Yoshikazu Iwanami is returning as sound director, and Yugo Kanno is returning to compose.

Singer Ichigo from Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets is performing the anime's opening theme song "Stone Ocean." The single will launch digitally on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

The Stone Ocean arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga ran from 1999 to 2003, and has 17 volumes. The arc consists of volumes 64 to 80 of the manga.
