YOASOBI, the Japanese superduo, is indeed popular and has become a favorite of Japanese song lovers. YOASOBI is a duo group consisting of Ayase as music producer and Rira Ikuta (Ikura) as vocalist. The name of this duo group is taken from a Japanese word which means nightlife.

This YOASOBI duo carried the theme "novel into music", which means turning novels or short stories into songs, and succeeded in presenting songs that made you addicted.

1. Yoru Ni Kakeru

Most people recognized YOASOBI through this song. Because one of YOASOBI's debut singles immediately exploded on the market and became YOASOBI's most heard song on digital music platforms. "Yoru ni Kakeru" or also known as "Racing into the Night" also has an English version released in July 2020.

This song tells about someone who was disappointed after parting with her lover. She finds it very difficult to forget her lover.

3. Tabun

"Tabun" is a song inspired by the short novel by Shinano, winner of YOASOBI Contest Vol. 1 and collaborating to bring the story to life using music and animation. This song is about a couple who broke up.

The English version of this song is titled "Haven't" and is included in YOASOBI's English mini-album, namely E-Side, which was released on November 12, 2021. This song went viral on TikTok and was widely used by people to create content.

4. Gunjou

"Gunjo" or which means Ultramarine was released in September 2020, the song included in the album The Book was inspired by the manga Blue Period by Tsubasa Yamaguchi. In the lyrics, YOASOBI invites listeners to focus on what they like and express what they see.

5. Kaibutsu

"Kaibutsu" is the opening song for the anime Beastars which airs on Netflix. The Beastars series is a manga adaptation written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. Even though the song has a title that can be said to be scary, this song is actually not as scary as one might think. This song actually has a rhythm that is pleasant to hear.

The song entitled "Ano Yume wo Nazotte" was released by YOASOBI in January 2020. Just like the previous songs, this song was also written based on a novel by Isshiki Souta entitled "Yume no Shizuku to Hoshi no Hana". The novel tells the story of a girl who can see the future only through her dreams.

7. Sangenshoku

"Sangenshoku" was released on July 2, 2021 in the original version and July 16, 2021 for the English version, namely "RGB". The lyrics of this song were written based on the novel by Yuichiro Kamikado entitled RGB. This song also means that good relationships between people are something that is very meaningful in life.

8. Haruka

10. Encore

"Encore" was released in 2021 on the album "THE BOOK". This was written based on the story in the novel "Sekai no Owari to, Sayonara no Uta" or "The End of the World, and the Goodbye Song". by Minakami Kanami. The story in this song is quite tragic, because the meeting between the two of them just happened when the world was about to end.
