The highly anticipated thriller movie, Sleep Call, will be available in all Indonesian cinemas on September 7th 2023. This movie was produced by IDN Pictures and directed by Fajar Nugros. Sleep Call stars Laura Basuki, Juan Bio One, Kristo Immanuel, Della Dartyan, Bront Palarase, Rukman Rosadi, and Rachel Vennya.

More than just entertainment, Sleep Call also invites the audience to reflect on various social issues raised in the story. By combining entertainment and deep meaning, this movie aims to leave a deep impression on the audience's heart. The story of Sleep Call centers on the life of a former flight attendant named Dina (played by Laura Basuki).

Dina, who was trapped in mounting debts, decided to change gears and work at an illegal online lending company to pay off her debts. In her complicated life journey, Dina gets to know Rama through a dating application. Their intense communication began to occur from day to day.

Unfortunately, the relationship between Dina and Rama turns out to be addictive and very complicated, even threatening their lives. At the presscon after the screening of Sleep Call at XXI Epicentrum (6/9), Laura Basuki explained her challenges in playing the role of Dina in Sleep Call.

Laura admitted that playing the role of Dina was a big challenge for her. That's because she had to ponder a lot in order to deepen her role. "Even though what Dina experienced was never experienced by me," said Laura when explaining her role as Dina.
