In two previous matches in the APL, DG Esports has faced the Vietnamese representatives. If you watched those matches, it seemed like DG Esports were still struggling in facing the Vietnamese team, especially on Day 6 of the APL 2020.

On Day 6, DG Esports went up against Saigon Phantom. In the first round, DG Esports was able to have the upper hand, even in the early game, they managed to dominate SGP. As they’re entering the late game, DG Esports should have won the match as SGP’s Nexus was being attacked by creeps, but with Dirak wiping out the creeps, DG Esports’ victory had to be delayed. They ended up suffering from an upset in the first round.

In round two, it looked like that DG Esports were still a little bit shocked from the first round, as they weren’t able to step up in the second round until SGP managed to defeat DG Esports in less than 10 minutes.
