The famous EDM music group, Weird Genius, announced the resignation of one of its members, Gerald Liu. This announcement was confirmed via the official Weird Genius Instagram account, @weird_genius. With this, Weird Genius' only personnel are Reza Arap and Eka Gustiwana.

Gerald Liu Resigns from Weird Genius 

In a statement on their Instagram account, Weird Genius expressed their gratitude to Gerald Liu for his contribution and dedication over the past four years. They noted that Gerald has been an important member of their musical journey.

However, after careful consideration, Gerald Liu decided to leave Weird Genius and focus on his solo music project. This decision will take effect from October 21, 2023.

Gerald will hold his final appearance with Weird Genius on October 21 at Playlist Festival, Bandung. Weird Genius also asked fans to look forward to their upcoming developments and said goodbye to Gerald.

Weird Genius has gained huge popularity in recent years with 2.25 million YouTube subscribers and more than one million monthly listeners on Spotify. "Lathi" by Weird Genius became the most searched Indonesian song on Google in 2020.
