Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Announced at Gamescom 2025

Warner Bros. Games and TT Games have officially announced Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight during Gamescom 2025, marking the return of the Caped Crusader in Lego form after more than a decade. The game is scheduled to launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Arkham-Inspired Gameplay in a Lego Gotham

Unlike the previous Lego series known for lighthearted humor, this new title showcases a darker Lego Gotham. In the reveal trailer, Lego Batman can be seen gliding through enemies, unleashing fast-paced combos, and performing stealth takedowns from above—clearly inspired by the Batman Arkham series, but reimagined with Lego’s charm and detail.

Parody of Iconic Batman Movie Moments

The trailer also features parodies of legendary Batman movie scenes, including:

• The Batmobile chase with Penguin from The Batman (2022)

• Bane’s iconic monologue from The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

While humor is still present, the overall tone feels more serious compared to the comedic style of The Lego Batman Movie.

Before this announcement, Batman appeared in several Lego titles, including:

• The Lego Batman Trilogy (2008–2014), with Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham as the last major release
