Fans of Watchmen and Attack on Titan will be pleased to learn that Levi Ackerman's design was actually partly inspired by the DC superhero Watchmen’s Rorschach. The manga's creator, Hajime Isayama, revealed that Rorschach was one of the many characters that went into Levi's designs.
Rorschach and Levi were both short in stature, but they both possessed impressive combat skills as well as superior physical abilities. Like Rorschach, Levi is also willing to do unpleasant and sometimes immoral things, to achieve important goals. The white cloth that Levi was wearing around his neck was probably one of the similarities for Rorschach and his white scarf, they were both wearing light brown jackets.
2. Like Mikasa, Levi is a member of the Ackerman clan
When Levi Ackerman was first introduced, he was one of the characters in the Attack on Titan series shrouded with mysteries. Back then people didn't even know his last name either. However, after Kenny reveals to him that he is his uncle in his final moments, Levi learns that he is an Ackerman. This means that Levi and Mikasa are actually related, which also explains why they became the two strongest warriors in Paradis.
The history of the Ackerman clan began as a group of people who experimented so that they could possess the power of a titan without actually turning into a titan. However, after the Eldians came to Paradis, the Ackerman clan was hunted down because of events in the outside world. Levi, along with Mikasa and Kenny, has come a long way, becoming the captain of the Survey Corps that defends those around him from the Titans.
3. Levi Actually Hates Killing His Enemies
Levi Ackerman is known by many as the strongest warrior of mankind, who can kill countless Titans over the years. Having said that, it might come as a surprise to learn the fact that he actually doesn't like killing his enemies. Some examples are when Levi left the Female Titan alone after he and Mikasa saved Eren, or when he saved Zeke's life.
4. Levi has His Own Spin-off Prequel Series
Because Levi Ackerman is such a popular character, he got his own short spin-off series, entitled No Regrets. 6. Levi once hated Commander Erwin
When Erwin first caught Levi Ackerman and his friends for stealing and forced them to join the Scout Regiment, Levi was less than pleased with the coercion. Levi takes all his anger out on Erwin, even vowing to kill him if he gets the chance.
Of course, Levi changed his mind about the commander of the Survey Corps as time went on. Still, it became a fact that Levi once hated a man who ended up being one of his most respected comrades.
7. Levi was Belittled by the Military the First Time He Joined It
Because he lives in the Underground, Levi Ackerman is not respected by the other soldiers when he first joins the Survey Corps. It was only after he proved that he was stronger than all of them did the military start treating Levi better. It happened because they knew that Levi was the strongest warrior of all mankind.

This technique has been used by Levi well in this series. When combined with his speed, it could even allow him to defeat a Beast Titan in one-on-one combat.
