In the previous episode, a mad Okiku went over the limit by cutting the chonmage (the hair knot of a samurai) of Urashima. Chonmage is a symbol of pride for a samurai so Urashima is furious that he wanted to destroy Okiku. But Luffy stops him and challenges him to a sumo fight. Here’s a couple of facts about One Piece episode 903!

1. Luffy’s Bet

Urashima is furious and he wanted to destroy Okiku with the palm of his hand. But Luffy stops it from happening and challenges him to a sumo fight. If Urashima won, he’s allowed to do anything he wanted to Okiku. But if Urashima lost to Luffy he needs to stop bothering Okiku.

2. Luffy Claimed He’s Great at Sumo

We never see Luffy do a sumo fight previously. But Luffy told Urashima that he’s great at it. It was explained that his winning record is against Usopp. Well, Usopp has a lean body so it’s normal if Luffy won the fight.

If Luffy goes against Franky with his body or Zoro with his extraordinary physique, then the outcome is unclear. Not to mention he’s going to fight the strongest sumo wrestler in Wano.

3. Urashima Cheats

Even if he’s the strongest sumo wrestler it doesn’t mean that Urashima has a good a sportsmanlike conduct. In fact, when he is annoyed because Luffy keeps on dodging him, Urashima started to do the illegal moves in sumo by trying to punch and poke Luffy’s eye. But it doesn’t matter because can dodge all incoming attacks from Urashima.

4. Gomu Gomu no Gigant Tsuppari

In this episode, we see a new technique that Luffy used for the first time, Gomu Gomu no Gigant Tsuppari. Gigant Tsuppari means Giant Hand thrust. Luffy uses this technique because he is in a sumo bout which only allows the wrestler to use their palm.

Urashima sent flying by this technique and he hit the place where Holdem is holding Otama.

5. Beepo is Poisoned

Previously it was explained that the river in Wano is unclean because it’s contaminated by the waste of the smile factory. But Beepo drinks the water from the river because he is thirsty. Law found out and does a scan to Beepo.
