Shirahoshi is a princess of the Ryugu Kingdom who encountered the Straw Hat Pirates during the Fishman Island Arc. This massive mermaid is one of the biggest weapons and also wanted by Im-sama. Here are some interesting facts about Shirahoshi!

1. Her Beauty Rivals Boa Hancock’s

On the land, Boa Hancock probably the most beautiful woman who can enchant almost every man. But on the sea, Shirahoshi becomes the most beautiful human-fish woman who can enchant every fish-man‘s heart. The rumor about Shirahoshi’s beauty surpassing Boa Hancock’s has spread to Mary Geoise. 

When Shirahoshi arrived at Mary Geoise, she later appeared to be cuter than people imagined. Big News Morgan became a reporter who was amazed by her beauty the most.

2. The Biggest Mermaid in One Piece

From all mermaid in Fishman Island, Shirahoshi has the biggest size of all. Her size probably the same as giants, and even so, her size didn't make her feared by others.

She is respected by her people at the Ryugu Kingdom. Then after she ascended to the surface, people of Mary Geoise welcomed her warmly. Many people enchanted with her beauty without thinking about her size.

3. Crybaby

At first, Shirahoshi thought Luffy as a killer who wanted her dead, but after being protected from Vander Decken IX’ ax, Shirahoshi realized that Luffy is a nice person. Luffy scolded her because of her fragile personality, scared her, and crying.

Luffy also called her “yowahoshi” or coward and made her cry even louder. She later went to Reverie for Luffy to stop calling her “yowahoshi” anymore.

4. Kenbunshoku Haki User 

Who would have thought that a crybaby like Shirahoshi could use Kenbunshoku Haki? It is already confirmed on Vivre Card Data Book Volume 6 that Shirahoshi could use Kenbunshoku Haki. On the upcoming arc, probably Oda could show us.

5. Poseidon

Shirahoshi mastered Poseidon, an ability to control sea monsters. By yelling, she would unleash sonar waves that could summon sea monsters. Luckily she owned this ability because if this ability falls to the wrong hands, that power can be used to drown the land.

When Luffy destroyed Noah to save Fishman island, Shirahoshu also helped him by summoning sea monsters to hold the giant ship’s debris. This is might be the reason why the leader of the World Government, Im-sama, wanted her so bad.
