Monkey D. Garp is known as a member of the Marines due to his victory against the most powerful and dangerous pirate, Rocks in the past. In his prime, it is told that only Garp can match Gol D. Roger’s might. With his fist, he even can destroy a mountain.

During the Age of Piracy, Garp is already old enough and about to retire. The young generation later will grow up and surpass his might. Even so, the old Garp is still strong. Not all pirates can match him. Here are pirates that able to surpass Garp in the future!

1. Monkey D. Dragon

Dragon is the most wanted vigilante in the world as well as the reader of the Revolutionary Army. The army fight to stop the World Government's plan that keeps on pillaging commoners. Currently, Dragon’s power is still unknown, but there are speculations that Dragon is one of the strongest characters in One Piece.

Usually, the son will surpass his father. Because of that, Dragon has the potential to become stronger than Garp, or since the beginning Dragon is already strong enough than his father.

2. Eustass Kid

On various things, Kid is similar to Luffy. Many fans already realizing this. Kid is a reckless but with a will of iron. Unlike Hawkins anD Apoo, he denies to bow down to Kaido. Before time skip, Kid was a Supernova with the highest bounty.

Similar to Luffy, Kid also dreaming to become the Pirate King. In a few previous chapters, it is confirmed that Kid is a user of three kinds of Haki. If he mastered Haoshoku Haki, that means he is one of the many who has the potential to become a king. That’s why this pirate with magnetic ability can surpass the legendary Marine.

3. Trafalgar Law

Trafalgar Law is the captain of Heart Pirates. During the time skip, he became Shichibukai. With Ope Ope no Mi, Law has the ability that can be annoying to most people. With the devil fruit’s power on his palm, he can also save Luffy’s life.

Until now, Law is still to show his power to the full extent in a fight. When battling Hawkins in prison, he could slice him easily. Law still can develop further because that’s not the limit of his 

Ope Ope no Mi. In the future, he also has the potential to surpass Garp.

4. Marshall D. Teach

Currently, Teach already serves as a Yonkou, replacing Shirohige/ Whitebeard. But doesn’t mean that he’s stronger than Garp. Currently, probably Garp is stronger than him. Even so, Teach still can develop further and become stronger than he is now.

We don’t know whether he can use awakening or not. There is a possibility that Luffy will become Luffy’s last opponent. If that time comes, then he will be far stronger than Garp.

5. Monkey D.Luffy

The last pirate on the list surely our main man, Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy once lost in the battle against Kaido after got hit by him once. But it won’t work anymore after he mastered Haki on a higher level. During their first fight, Luffy managed to hit Kaido even though to no effect.

At Marineford, Luffy once fought Garp and won, but it was due to Garp submitted to him. In a real battle, pretty sure that Luffy will lose. But after mastering Haki to a new extent or awakening, Luffy has the hope to able to take down his grandfather.
