After participating in making a game-based film titled DreadOut in 2019, Lyto Pictures is now back to producing a feature film from a game made by the local talents entitled "PAMALI".

Pamali is a horror film that is planned to be produced in 2021 and released in 2022. This film stars Marthino Lio, Putri Ayudya, Taskya Namya, Rukman Rosadi, Unique Priscilla, Fajar Nugraha, and Iyang Darmawan; and directed by Bobby Prasetyo.

"I am very happy to be able to collaborate with the game and film industries. This Pamali film raises elements of local culture and beliefs, especially regarding taboos and prohibitions that are considered to bring badness and danger to those who do it. We see that Pamali is an opportunity to re-preserve local traditional values of Indonesia through films," said Andi Suryanto, the producer of the Pamali film and the CEO of Lyto Pictures.

"Reviving the value of local Indonesian traditions through modern media such as films and games is an interesting thing for me, especially if the target is young people. Pamali, which was released as a game in 2018 is also widely known and has a large fan base, even abroad. For me, this is an opportunity and a challenge to create a work that is useful for preserving traditions, as well as being popular and liked by many audiences," said Bobby, who was nominated as a young director at the 2019 Maya Cup.

The Pamali game itself is the work of Storytale Studios, a game developer from Bandung, which has been successful both in Indonesia and in the international market.

When interviewed, Andreas Andika as Studio Lead from Storytale Studios said, “I'm very happy and excited that the Pamali game can be made into a feature film! Moreover, this film still maintains the elements and characteristics that exist in the game. Hopefully in the future there will be more films and games for the nation's children that can promote the folklore and culture of our homeland."
