This year's 43rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday, September 27th 2021 that the Boichi and Riichirou Inagaki's Dr. Stone manga is entering its final arc. The magazine also stated that Dr. Stone manga will be discontinued in its 44th issue on October 4th 2021 so the authors can do some research, and will return to its 45th issue on October 11th 2021.

The magazine also revealed that Yuki Tabata's Black Clover manga is on break in its 44th issue, and will return in its 45th issue. The magazine did not provide information on the reason for the one-week break.

Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock) and Inagaki (writer of Eyeshield 21) launched the manga Dr. Stone in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017. Viz Media published the manga Dr. Stone digital and printed version.

Dr. Stone manga tells of one fateful day, all of humanity was frightened by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia a high school student, Taiju, awakens and finds himself lost in the world of sculpture.

However, he is not alone, his science-loving friend, Senku, has been up and running for a few months and he has big plans to start a civilization with the power of science.

MANGA Plus also publishes Dr. Stone manga digitally in English. The first television anime series debuted in July 2019. Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired, and Funimation streamed the current season's dub. The anime premiered on Toonami in August 2019.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, the anime's second season, premiered in January 2021. Crunchyroll is streaming the series worldwide except in Asia, while Funimation is streaming the English dub. The anime debuted on Toonami on May 15th 2021. The anime will also get a sequel. You can also watch Dr. Stone anime on the Netflix streaming platform.
