In the October issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comp Ace magazine, it was revealed last Friday that the manga I'm Not the Hero! (Shujinko janai!) by Meiji, which is an adaptation of the light novel series of the same name by Usber and Hana Amano, will end soon in the next issue which will be published on September 26th 2023.

I'm Not the Hero! was first published by Meiji in Monthly Comp Ace in December 2020. Later, Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume in May 2021, and the fourth volume in December 2022.

J-Novel Club is the publisher of the original light novel series and describes the story as follows:

Once upon a time, there was a middle-aged Japanese office worker, a school girl, and a high-speed truck driver. The boy tries to save the girl from the truck, and the next thing he knows, after being hit by the truck, the boy wakes up inside his favorite game world, Braves and Blades, as Rex Tauren.

Rex is the most powerful character in the early stages of BB, a master of all sorts at level 50 who has many class skills and one big weakness, because Rex is only a minor character, so after the tutorial stage, his growth rate drops and he is almost useless. In other words, the man's adventure now is to find the true protagonist BB and leave all the business of saving the world to that protagonist.

Usber began the original light novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro (Let's Become Novelists) website in January 2020. Later, Kadokawa published the first volume of the light novel series with illustrations by Amano in December 2020, and the third volume in May 2022.
