The story of the fourth Hokage in the Naruto series, Minato Namikaze, will be adapted into a one-shot manga that will be released in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Summer 2023. The reason for creating this one-shot manga is because Minato won the Narutop 99 poll which was held in December 2022.

The results of a fan-favorite character poll that was revealed in April 2023 showed Minato won first place with 792,257 votes. This one-shot manga will also be written by Naruto author himself, Masashi Kishimoto. This news was announced in the 24th issue of Shonen Jump magazine, which was released on May 15, 2023.

Kishimoto himself didn't expect Minato to be that popular among fans. He was also happy that Sakura remains a character loved by fans even though she is often said to be a "burden". Narutop 99 is a poll conducted to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Naruto series. There is no word yet regarding the release date of Minato Namikaze's one-shot manga!
