Former Shadow of Mordor Developer Working on EA's Black Panther Game
After a long absence, Cliffhanger Games is reportedly working on a Black Panther game.
News | 11 July
Electronic Arts (EA) has officially appointed a development studio in charge of creating its newest game, Black Panther. The lucky studio is Cliffhanger Games, which is helmed by former Monolith Productions Kevin Stephens.
Stephens and Monolith Productions have previously earned accolades and acclaim for their work on the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor game series. So it's not surprising that EA entrusted this big project to them.
In an official statement released, Stephens expressed his great joy for this collaboration. "I am very proud to have this opportunity to collaborate with Marvel Games and EA in developing the Black Panther game," he said. Stephens also promised that his team would work hard to create a game that would meet the expectations of Black Panther fans and the gamer community in general.
Even though the project is still in its early stages, game fans are already getting excited. Although there has been no official statement regarding the release date and intended platform, information circulated last year stated that the Black Panther game will offer an open world system and singleplayer mode.
With the reputation and talent possessed by Kevin Stephens and his team, we can certainly expect Black Panther to be an extraordinary game. The big question now is, can they live up to those expectations? Let's look forward to it.
