The PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 Esports World Cup ended with an unsatisfactory result for Alter Ego Ares, the Indonesian representative team. Having previously led and even won the Group Stage, Alter Ego Ares faced with an anticlimax in the Grand Final. To this day, fans are still confused by Alter Ego's failure to win PMWC 2025 and finishing in the top 8.
Naturally, many hoped that Alter Ego Ares would win. After their impressive performance in the Group Stage, Rosemary and her teammates even performed exceptionally well on the first and second days of the Grand Final. However, on the final day, their performance fell short of expectations, ruining their chances of winning.
Once again, it remains unclear what caused Alter Ego's failure to win PMWC 2025. Dunia Games (DG) finally asked the player representative, Alva, and the coaching staff, RDK, about this. What exactly was the problem with Alter Ego's failure to win PMWC 2025? What hindered or hindered them?

RDK and Alva's Response After Alter Ego's Failure to Win PMWC 2025
For the record, Alter Ego Ares posted quite good performances on both days one and two of the PMWC 2025 Grand Final. Alter Ego Ares still placed in the top 5, just needing to maximize their performance on the third day. Unfortunately, the third day proved disastrous for Alter Ego Ares, as they failed to win.
First, according to Alva, despite Alter Ego's failure to win PMWC 2025, they were satisfied with the results they achieved after spending time practicing, and their performance in the Grand Final was quite promising. Hopefully, if they can continue to perform like this, they will achieve maximum results in the future.
"We're probably satisfied with our results in the Grand Final yesterday, having trained at GH all this time, and we've been able to see how we've been supporting each other on the day of the tournament. So, we have a clear picture of how we can achieve maximum results if we stay consistent with this position," said Alva.
Alva added that the change in Alter Ego Ares' performance on the third day wasn't due to interference from other teams. Rather, it was Alter Ego Ares' lack of discipline, unlike in the Group Stage, where they played very neatly and maintained good discipline.
"In my opinion, it was more of a discipline issue during the Grand Final. In the Group Stage, we really maintained our discipline, preventing any mistakes. But the Grand Final results were different. Our discipline was still lacking, so that's how it turned out," Alva added.
"There was no interference from other teams; it was just our discipline," he said.
Furthermore, RDK, as coach, revealed that Alter Ego's failure to win the PMWC 2025 championship on the final day was due to the players' poor mental state and mood. Consequently, their performance was less than optimal, and RDK, as coach, acknowledged there were no issues or interference from other teams.
"I wouldn't say much, maybe the fun just disappeared on the last day. The final day should have been about having fun and closing out the match, but we lost the game," RDK said. "There were no interferences (from other teams), honestly, none. It's safe," he concluded.
