Kadokawa recently released new visuals and revealed the main voice cast for the anime series adaptation of Tsurumaikada's Olympic ice skating-themed manga Medalist.

The main cast in the anime are:

- Natsumi Haruse as Inori Yuitsuka

- Takeo Otsuka as Tsukasa Akeuraji

Yasutaka Yamamoto (known for his work on Noblesse) will be directing the anime under ENGI studio. Jukki Hanada, who was also involved in Love Live!!! Sunshine!!, will take care of the series composition and script writing. Meanwhile, Chinatsu Kameyama (who has contributed to In Another World With My Smartphone) will design the characters in the series.

Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed the Medalist manga, and here is the story synopsis:

The story of Tsukasa, who sees his dreams shattered, and Inori, who is left to face the realities of the world. They both share one dream, and it may be that their tenacity is the only thing that can help them achieve it. Their destination is the ice world stage!

The manga first appeared in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine in May 2020. On May 23rd 2023, Kodansha published the eighth volume of the manga, and the ninth volume will follow on October 23rd 2023.

Medalist won the Best General Manga category in this year's Shogakukan Manga Awards and was also nominated in Kodansha's 47th annual Manga Awards. With a top voice cast and a competent production team, the Medalist anime is sure to be one to look forward to.
