If you’re following the God of War series, surely know who Cronos is. Cronos is one of many giants that you can find in God of War 3. He is the first Titan alongside Gaia. Cronos is the father of Olympian Gods in Greek Mythology. With his size as big as the world itself, Cronos is the biggest antagonist that Kratos ever faced. For the comparison, Kratos’ size is not as big as Cronos’ little finger’s nail. But do you know that in God of War PS4 has many giant monsters that their size surpassing Cronos’ size? 7. Chaurli
Chaurli is a unique monster in the God of War 4 video game, and it’s because Chaurli is shaped like a giant tortoise. It is told as a monster who lives alongside Freya and serves as one of the forest guardians. A giant tree with red leaves grows atop of its shell.
6. Dagsetr
Baldur does not only serve as the formidable foe in God of War 4 but also has a dragon monster that always accompanies him called Dagsetr. He is a giant dragon that serves as a transportation device to quick travel to Aesir. Due to its massive size, Dagsetr serves as a vast battlefield for him and Kratos.
5. Dwarven Dragons
Aside from Dagsetr, you can also find other dragons in God of War 4. There are three dragons in Midgard; Fafnir, Otr, and Reginn. It’s different than Dagsetr, these three dragons appear smaller, but still big nonetheless. In one mission, you are tasked to free those dragons with challenging obstacles before you.
4. Hraezlyr
One of the annoying parts in God of War PS4 is when you have to face with a giant dragon Hraezlr. It is a formidable opponent to beat. After you defeat it, then Kratos and Atreus can proceed to the back of the mountain. Not only has a massive size, but this beast has an electricity attack that can strike Kratos into critical condition.
3. Hraesvelg
Hraesvelg is a Jotunn or giant frost that shaped like an eagle. He is also known as a corpse-eating beast. This beast firstly appears when Kratos goes to Helheim to obtain the heart of Bridge Keeper to cure his son, Atreus.
2. Thamur
Thamur is also a Jotunn, where before its death, he is tasked to build a wall around Jotunheim to keep his people from Thor during the war between giants and Aesir. When he’s looking for his son Hrimthur on Midgard, Thamur is killed by Thor and falls onto his chisel. The creator, Cory Barlog said that Thamur’s size when died will be smaller compared to Cronos. But according to information from Jotnar shrine, it is said that Thamur can change its size according to his wish, so it is assumed that his size can be bigger than Cronos.
1. Jormungandr
The last one, Jormungandr or World Serpent is a giant serpent in God of War 4. His first encounter with Kratos and Atreus after his awaken from his sleep at Lake of Nine. After their encounter, Jormungandr serves as their ally. In Norse mythology, Jormungandr is one of Loki’s sons that destined to fight Thor when Ragnarok comes. Nobody knows the exact size of this monster, but surely bigger than Cronos.
