To enliven Gamescom 2021, Ubisoft has just released a story trailer to promote and remind gamers that Far Cry 6’s launch is getting closer. This sixth series was first announced by Ubisoft at the Ubisoft Forward event in 2021 and then through a cinematic trailer. Not much information was shared by Ubisoft at the E3 replacement event. However, this sixth series looks very promising like Far Cry 5 which was released in 2018.
Far Cry 6 is about politics and how a different perspective inevitably leads to conflict. Set in a fictional country called Yara located in South America that is ruled by a tyrant.
Yara was a poor country as a result of economic sanctions decades earlier. Poverty in Yara also led to many demonstrations and the people became divided. They demand to get out of the stagnation zone and want a new era that brings prosperity.
But the fictional country is led by a president named Anton Castillo, a tyrant. He intends to rebuild Yara with his ambition and dirty ways. Realizing that there was a rebellion against his leadership, Castillo actually taught something to his son, Diego who was prepared to replace him in the future.
Far Cry 6 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Epic Games Store and Uplay, and Stadia on October 7, 2021. In addition, if gamers have purchased the PS4 or Xbox One version, they can also upgrade to the next-gen console version for free.
