In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Arena of Valor (AOV) is holding an in-game event "Dreamland of Sumeru", which will last until 22 January 2022. Various prizes, ranging from exclusive skins, merchandise, to several gadgets will be available for all Challengers in the first AOV event after the January 2023 patch.

Hongbao Rain in Dreamland of Sumeru

As AOV's first in-game event in 2023, Dreamland of Sumeru will feature various prizes for Challengers, one of which is an exclusive skin for the hero Zanis.

To obtain this skin, players only need to log-in every day and complete daily missions from 18-22 January 2023.

Apart from the Zanis' skin, AOV will also have a hongbao rain by distributing various prizes ranging from smartphones to AOV exclusive items, such as pillows and T-shirts, for free during the Dreamland of Sumeru. All of these prizes can be obtained by Challengers on the peak day of the Dreamland of Sumeru event on 22 January 2023.

To receive these prizes, Challengers only need to log in and complete various daily missions in AOV. Not only that, AOV will also release various Dreamland of Sumeru-themed exclusive skins. Apart from Zanis', which can be obtained for free, exclusive skins that will be released are skins for Astrid, Hayate, Wukong, Natalia, and Slimz. Each skin will come with a distinctive Chinese New Year-inspired artstyle with the Dreamland of Sumeru theme.

Challengers can also win balance prizes every day from AOV by joining the Challenge template on AOV Indonesia's Instagram account. Challengers can take part in this challenge until 26 January 2023.

AOV January 2023 Patch

Starting the S1: 2023 Season, or the first season of this year, AOV also brings numerous significant updates with the January 2023 patch, starting from art, systems, to rank optimization. Apart from that, one of the most anticipated updates is the launch of a new hero and a revamped hero in AOV. Here are the details of the new heroes and revamped heroes in the January 2023 AOV Patch:

New Hero: Bonnie

Bonnie is a Control Mage who can play as part of the team. Bonnie has the Immobilize Effect with her Skill 2: Gina Thwack!. This skill will hamper enemies with high mobility. In addition to that, a Control effect with her Ultimate: Allan Kaboom!, which provides equally powerful offensive and defensive advantages. Meanwhile, her Skill 1: Bonnie Smack, is useful for revealing enemy positions and doing Setups

Revamped Hero: Gildur

Gildur has been significantly revamped in terms of appearance and skills. Gildur's new appearance makes him look more intimidating and more manly. A skill display adjustment was also made to make him feel brand-new, more effective, and easier for Challengers to use.
