Konami has officially released Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam®. This new version reimagines the legendary Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, which first captivated players in 2004 on PlayStation®2. Now, the origin story of the Metal Gear Solid saga has been rebuilt with cutting-edge technology, allowing both longtime fans and newcomers to relive the experience in a modern format.

The story follows FOX operative Naked Snake, who is sent on a dangerous mission during the Cold War. What begins as a rescue operation soon transforms into a harsh survival struggle, where Snake must endure unforgiving environments and deadly enemies. The remake retains the original voice cast and core storyline while introducing advanced survival combat, immersive sound design, and highly detailed graphics to heighten the tension.

One of the highlights is the Bonus Mode. PlatinumGames Inc. has revived the cult-favorite nightmare mini-game Guy Savage, originally an easter egg in the 2004 release. Players will also find the return of Snake Vs. Monkey on PlayStation®5 and Steam®. Meanwhile, Xbox Series X|S users gain access to Snake Vs. Bomberman, a unique crossover blending tactical stealth gameplay with explosive Bomberman mechanics.

Looking ahead, the online multiplayer mode FOX HUNT is scheduled to launch this fall. Set in the same world as the main campaign, this new feature brings stealth and survival mechanics into a thrilling hide-and-seek style mode.

Konami has also unveiled the latest Legacy Part 5 episode featuring voice actors David Hayter (Snake) and Lori Alan (The Boss). This special feature explores what it takes to embody Snake’s survival skills in real-world training form.

For collectors, the Asia-exclusive Premium Pack includes the Tactical Edition, a 1/4 scale Snake bust statue, an Original Vinyl Soundtrack, an exclusive SteelBook®, and a FOX emblem patch. Early buyers will also unlock a special white tuxedo outfit for Snake. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition grants players 48-hour early access plus the Sneaking DLC Pack, which features multiple costumes and gear such as the Battle Dress, Sneaking Suit, Crocodile Suit, and even quirky accessories like the Kerotan and GA-KO masks.
