Mobile Legends has always been huge in Indonesia. And just recently, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has released a Bahasa Indonesia voice-over. So now, you can hear your favorite heroes speak Bahasa!
Previously, Mobile Legends only had two VOs, Japanese and English. With the newly-released Bahasa VO, Indonesian players can now listen to the characters speaking Bahasa.
On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to discuss the Bahasa Indonesia VO in Mobile Legends and find out how good it actually is. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!
Perfectly Dubbed
While most games only have Bahasa Indonesia subtitles, Mobile Legends finally released a local dub for Indonesian players. By having the Bahasa Indonesia voice-over in the game, it’s expected that the players will be able to understand more about their favorite heroes.
As for the dub, the diction seems to have been done properly. Some heroes are more compatible with the Bahasa dub -- such as Gatotkaca.
The intonations of these heroes are carried over from the English version. For example, Lancelot, who speaks like a noble has the same intonation in his Bahasa dub.
However, there are some formal words that make some of the speeches sound flat, especially if you’re still not familiar with the Bahasa Indonesia VO.
Very Well-Translated
The Bahasa VO was translated from the English version. The translations are great as anyone who listens to it can immediately understand.
The words from the heroes weren’t just translated verbatim, but they were reconstructed to make the words and sentences sound more natural and easy to understand.
So, although the words may be different from the English version, the message that they convey is still the same.

It’s Like Watching a Bahasa-Dubbed Sunday Morning Anime!
The first thing I got from hearing the Bahasa Indonesia voice-over in Mobile Legends was the same feeling I get from watching a Bahasa-dubbed Sunday morning anime.
From the diction to the intonation sound so similar to that we hear from dubbed anime. It almost seems that it’s the norm and standard for movie/game voicework in Bahasa Indonesia.
In fact, if you listen to the Bahasa-dubbed Angela, you may instantly get reminded of Disney animations.
So, that was our review of the Bahasa voice-over in Mobile Legends. Have you tried it? Let us know in the comments below!
