Tekken Ball is a mini-game mode in the Tekken game which was first introduced in Tekken 3 in 1998, then re-edited in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U in 2012. So after a decade, Tekken Ball will finally return to Tekken 8. The following is a gameplay video on Tekken 8 which was presented at the Tokyo Game Show 2023.

If you don't know, Tekken Ball is a mini-game mode where players can cause damage to their opponents by landing the ball on their opponent by hitting or kicking the ball and then hitting the opponent. You have to pass the ball to each other and hit your opponent until you become the winner in the round you are playing.

Bandai Namco said Tekken Ball will be featured in the newest Tekken Fight Lounge feature that will be present in Tekken 8, a lobby where players can interact with each other and access various new modes.

The presence of Tekken Ball coincides with the announcement that Bandai Namco will hold a closed beta test for Tekken 8. This closed beta test will include a Fight Lounge which allows players to try out the Battle Arena and Customization Shop. Unfortunately, Tekken Ball mode is not yet part of the test this time.

Tekken 8's closed beta test will start from October 20 to 23 2023, and you can try it on PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This includes being able to try out 19 playable characters including Asuka Kazama, Azucena, Raven, King, Jin Kazama, Jun Kazama, Lili De Rochefort, Nina Williams, Ling Xiaoyu, Claudio Serafino, and many other previously announced characters.

Meanwhile, Tekken 8 is planned to be released on January 26 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
