King is an S-class hero who is dubbed the strongest human on earth. Uniquely, even though it's only a supporting character, it turns out that many fans like King more than Saitama. It can be seen from Young Jump, the magazine that published the One Punch Man comic when it issued a character popularity poll. King is in first place as a fan favorite character.

One thing that makes King quite popular is his unique ability. Even though he is called the strongest human being, King actually doesn't have any power. The hero association considers King to have played a lot in defeating many monsters. In fact, King was only shaded by luck whenever he was in danger.

So what lucky moments has King experienced in the One Punch Man story?

1. King Engine Power

King has a unique move called King Engine. This ability appears when King is dealing with monsters to start a duel. He will stare intently at his opponent accompanied by a roar that comes from the beating of his heart. To the monsters, it was like a death alarm. But for King, actually he did it because he was scared so all he could do was stare at his opponent.

King's lucky moment using the King Engine technique was first shown when he was dealing with Tongue Stretcher. Tongue Stretcher immediately apologized to King who was still staring at him.

2. Escape to the Bathroom

King's next lucky moment is when he meets G4, a robot created by The Organization. G4 declares King's status as the strongest human on earth so he aims to kill him.

Before the duel with G4, King asked permission to go to the toilet. That's where the reader finally realizes that King is actually very weak. He even cried lamenting his fate. Luckily Saitama and Genos were passing through the area. Genos is able to defeat G4, while Saitama catches a frightened King in the bathroom.

3. Meet Garou

Garou is a super villain who becomes the main enemy of the heroes. “The Hero Hunter” as he was nicknamed. Garou has the determination to destroy all the heroes he meets.

King who incidentally is an S class hero is very lucky when dealing with Garou. The meeting happened when King was walking with Saitama who looked depressed. Garou, who accidentally met King, immediately moved to beat him. Luckily, there was Saitama who without hesitation kicked Garou with just one kick. Again, King was ruled by luck.

4. Duel with Elder Centipede

King faced off against one of the strongest monsters in the One Punch Man anime, the Elder Centipede. However, King's presence here wasn't actually for a duel with the giant monster, but rather as a tool for Elder Centipede to come to him.

After the Elder Centipede was about to eat King, suddenly Saitama appeared to beat the Elder Centipede to pieces. Of course, even though it was Saitama who was hit, it was King who got the appreciation of the hero association.

5. Defeat Three Dragon Level Monsters

King's next lucky moment occurred when the monster association wreaked havoc everywhere. There are three dragon-level monsters that directly face the King, namely the Golden Sperm, Black Sperm, and Homeless Emperor.

As usual, King only used King Engine moves to frighten the three dragon level monsters. Finally, suddenly the newly awakened Gorou, defeated the three monsters quickly until they were invisible. It was so fast, everyone thought it was the result of King's power through the King Engine.
