Synopsis of My Happy Marriage

My Happy Marriage or Watashi no Shiawase ne Kekkon tells about a life where a woman named Miyo Saimori who was born without supernatural talent. Because of her condition, she is considered a useless child and is treated like a slave by her stepmother. Meanwhile, her father does not love Miyo's mother at all, so, after her mother's death, her father takes Miyo with his lover and lives in a wealthy family. Miyo's father is from a family that is considered respected, so families in this era will match their children to the same group with their supernatural powers.

The child of Miyo's father and her stepmother is named Kaya. She is a princess who has been able to see spirits since childhood, and Kaya is always praised and considered a valuable treasure of her family. Because it is considered unable to provide benefits for the family, Miyo, who has to live like a servant in her own house, one day enters the age of marriage. In hopes that her future husband can take her away from her current life, Miyo is betrothed to her future husband Kiyoka Kudou who is a commander who seems cold and cruel so all of his brides-to-be all run away within three days.

With no home to return to if her arranged marriage fails, Miyo resigns herself to her fate and meets her future husband. Unlike what people talk about, Kudou actually has a soft and warm heart, even her husband-to-be knows her weakness which is she doesn't have supernatural powers. Miyo's life begins to change, but Kaya, who feels jealous, tries to seize Miyo's happiness.
