Even though Konami and Hideo Kojima have parted ways, the legendary creator's name will still be honored in the remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This announcement came from Konami, who confirmed that Kojima, along with the original development team, would remain recognized as the "original developer" of the game.
In a Metal Gear – Production Hotline video, at the 8:54 minute mark, Hideo Kojima's name is seen being mentioned as part of the team that first developed Metal Gear Solid 3. Although the iconic "A Hideo Kojima Game" logo will no longer be visible, the recognition Kojima's contribution is still presented in a different way.
Noriaki Okamura, as Production Producer, revealed that his team had long discussions to determine the best way to provide attribution to the original developer. Finally, they decided to display Kojima's name with the prefix "Original" in this game. Okamura also explained that not all of Kojima's games include the "A Hideo Kojima Game" logo, so this is not something new.
However, fans still have to wait for further news regarding the official release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This game is planned to be available on the PS5, Xbox Series and PC platforms. For fans of the Metal Gear series, this news may be a bit of solace after the separation between Konami and Kojima, with awards still being given to the creator behind the legendary franchise.
