During their performance at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Senayan on 29th-30th July 2023, the three bands shared their favorite foods during their visit in Indonesia.
KANA-BOON is a Japanese rock band formed in 2008. They made their big debut with Ki/oon Music in 2013. Anime songs like Naruto and Boruto OSTs made the band famous. KANA-BOON, has amazed many fans with their songs, and has a simple taste when it comes to food.
Fried Rice became one of KANA-BOON's vocalist Maguro Taneguchi's favorite foods, when he revealed it to the public during his performance at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023 Tokyo Stage.
Just like Maguro, the vocalist of KANA-BOON, one of the beautiful members of NMB48 admitted that her favorite food is fried rice. The idol's statement amazed her fans in the midst of NMB48's performance at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023 Kyoto Stage.
Unlike the vocalist of KANA-BOON and the members of NMB48, FLOW actually prefers the other Indonesian food, namely Padang cuisine.
FLOW is a Japanese rock band formed in 1998 under the Amuse agency and is now under Sacra Music label. The band has 5 members consisting of 2 vocalists, a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer. FLOW is known for their success for singing several anime theme songs such as Naruto, Code Geass, Eureka Seven, Dragon Ball, Beelzebub and many more.
Upon their arrival in Jakarta to perform at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023, all members of FLOW immediately went to a Padang restaurant in Jakarta, and eagerly tasted various Minangkabau specialties. This can be seen on various social media belonging to FLOW.
As Indonesian, we all need to be proud because the rich local delicacies are actually able to attract the tastebud of these famous Japanese musicians and chose them to become their favorite foods.
This shows how important food is in influencing one's tastes and preferences. Moreover, when these musicians are in Indonesia to perform at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023, of course they want to taste local culinary delights that are special and appetizing.
Thanks to KANA-BOON, NMB48, and FLOW’s performances at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023, the event became more lively and attracted Japanese culture enthusiasts. Hopefully, this event can become bigger and continue to be held each year to strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Japan in music and culture.
