At the end of January 2023, Garudaku and PBESI announced the selected coaches to guide the PUBG MOBILE Indonesia National Team (Timnas) for the upcoming 2023 SEA Games, namely Steven “S1NYO” Valerian Danilo as Squad 1 coach, Jendra “CAPT” Wahyudi as Squad 2 trainer, and Robby “NaTic” Mahardika Saputra as Solo category trainer.

Of the three names, the name NaTic is being discussed by PUBG MOBILE fans in Indonesia, especially those who have been following this scene for a long time. Actively competing in PUBG MOBILE since 2018, NaTic, who at that time wore the Bigetron Esports uniform, played alongside Zuxxy, Luxxy, and Ryzen to win a number of prestigious PUBG MOBILE competitions such as PMIC 2018 and PMCO ID Spring 2019.

Through a short interview with PUBG MOBILE Indonesia, NaTic shared stories about his selection as a coach for the PUBG MOBILE Solo category, as well as his goals and preparations for the 2023 SEA Games.

“Hi coach NaTic! First of all, welcome back to PUBG MOBILE Esports! How does it feel to be active again in the PUBG MOBILE Esports scene?”

NaTic: “Alhamdulillah, I’m happy. But actually lately I've been staying active in the PUBGM scene as a coach. It's just that I stay behind the scenes, to stay out of the spotliight, hahaha."

“The coach line-up announcement for the 2023 SEA Games surprised netizens because it was fairly sudden. Can you tell us a bit about the process yesterday, from being contacted until finally being appointed as coach?”

NaTic: “For me personally, the selection process was quite long. I was immediately summoned to the PBESI office to conduct some kind of interview several times. Apart from that, I also gave presentations about programs that I would like to run when I am elected.”

“What made you want to return to PUBG MOBILE Esports scene? Are there any external factors other than the wishes of the coach?”

NaTic: “From then until now, I still really like games that require strategy. I am also very happy when the team I coached can win.”

"Earlier coach also mentioned about the program that will be run if you are selected. So, can you share with us what plans and programs the coach has prepared?”

NaTic: “Most of it is about macro-micro, because solo is very different from team, and there are also more athletes. Therefore I have to prepare a lot of schemes for each athlete. Apart from that, there should also be a fitness program.”

"From the programs that you have shared, what are the main goals or biggest visions for you and the players? What do you want to achieve from these programs?”

NaTic: "What's clear is for solo, because there are more athletes, I have great hopes to be able to take all the medals. Starting from gold, silver, to bronze, hopefully we can bring them all back to Indonesia." 

"From the coach's experience in the past as a player and coach, what lessons can be applied to face opponents in SEA Games?"

NaTic: “Better physical and mental development, because the pressure of being an athlete is enormous. Therefore, we will prepare programs that can improve and better prepare the players physically and mentally."
