Publisher NetEase Games and developer Naked Raid, a subsidiary game studio under NetEase's China-based Thunder Fire team, surprisingly announced a game titled Project Mugen Codename: Infinity, an urban open-world RPG game that is rumored to be available for PlayStation 5, PC, Android. and other platforms.

Apart from giving the announcement, they also released a countdown on the official Project Mugen official website and provided a code to release further information about this game on August 24, 2023. The game, which is described as an open world set in a two-dimensional immersive urban setting, is rumored to be releasing its first public promotional video of its gameplay, pre-registration information, as well as other information and content about the game.

Looking at the existing gameplay footage, some fans say that this game could be the next competitor for Zenless Zen Zero, the upcoming game by HoYoverse which is rumored to have a post-apocalyptic world setting, including a city created with new technological resources to protect humans. However, because we don't have much information about Project Mugen Codename: Infinity right now, fans must wait for further information from this game.
