Netflix began streaming Bakugan Legends, the fifth season of the Bakugan anime series starting with Bakugan Battle Planet, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Netflix is streaming 13 episodes of Bakugan Legends, each of which is 22 minutes long, featuring an English dub as well.

Canadian toy and media company Spin Master announced the relaunch of the Bakugan Legends franchise in partnership with TMS Entertainment and the Nelvana subsidiary of Corus Entertainment in October 2018. Bakugan: Geogan Rising is the third season of Bakugan Battle Planet, and premiered on the Canadian television channel Teletoon in January 2021. The show has 52 episodes of 11 minutes each. The anime premiered in Japan in April 2021. Netflix added the series the same month. Netflix began streaming the second part of the series in September 2021.

The fourth season in the series, titled Bakugan: Evolutions, premiered in April 2022 in Japan and in February 2022 in Canada. This anime has 26 episodes of 22 minutes each.

The Bakugan franchise is based on a combination of metal cards from Spin Master and Sega Toys and a marble ball-like magnetic toy that can automatically transform into various figures. The Bakugan franchise has become one of the best-selling products in the North American region as well.
