Netflix has released a trailer for the new anime series of Hiroyuki Takei's Shaman King manga, and it confirmed that the final episodes of the Shaman King anime will begin streaming on the Netflix service on May 26, 2022.

The new Shaman King anime premiered in April 2021. Netflix began streaming the anime series worldwide in August 2021. The anime series ended with 52 episodes.

This new Shaman King anime adapts the 35 volume complete edition of its latest manga, which Kodansha began publishing in print in Japan in June 2020. Previously, the first anime adaptation of the Shaman King manga premiered in 2001.

Joji Furuta (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandements, Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love Kingdom, Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, lDLIVE) is directing the new Shaman King anime at studio Bridge (Fairy Tail, The Royal Tutor). Shoji Yonemura (Pokemon franchise, Wave, Listen to Me!) is in charge of the scripts.

Satohiko Sano (Heybot!, Welcome to Demon School , Iruma-kun , Talentless Nana) is designing the characters. Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Haikyuu!!) composed the music, with King Record producing the music. Masafumi Mima is the audio director.

A sequel to the new Shaman King anime has been planned as well.
