1. The Devil’s Appearance

The episode unveils the cause of the war between man and elf, the Devil. He sets up the meeting of the human and elf that owns a four-leaf clover grimoire. Devil is the one that massacres all of the elves in the past and blames the human for it. This is the reason why the elves hold a grudge to the humans.

The plan works the way he wants to, and the Devil makes human and elf fights again in the Shadow Palace. The Devil shows himself after stealing Yuno’s necklace. Licht finds out that he and other elves are manipulated by the Devil.

2. Kotodama Magic

The Devil may have the strongest magic so far. The Devil’s magic allows him to manipulate his surroundings with his speech. For example, by saying “return,” the attack that Licht sends to the Devil returns to attack Licht.

When the Devil says “sword storm,” he summons a rain of swords. The sword that he summons is not magical swords, but real swords. This forces Asta to dodge faster to avoid the incoming sword rain.

3. Yuno and Asta Tag Team 

Yuno and Asta once again work together to face the Devil with irrational magic skills. At first, Yuno and Asta successfully dodge the rain of swords. Asta takes care of the magical sword, and Yuno takes care of the real sword.

But the Devil creates a vacuum that erases the gravity around Asta and Yuno. The Devil then says words like crushed and buried, which make Asta and Yuno get buried by the rocks. Fortunately, they rise again.

4. Dark Elf

By transforming Licht’s grimoire into a five-leaf clover, the Devil transforms him into a dangerous creature, the Dark Elf. A Dark Elf is a combination of two magic elements, light and darkness. Aside from having darkness that erases everything, his attack becomes as fast as light.

The fight between Yuno and Asta against Dark Licht begins. We will see the continuation of the fight in the next episode!
