Given Boruto Episode 145 has aired last Sunday, it’s time for this week’s discussion column on Boruto’s episode! Previously, Lord Mujo, the master of Hozuki Castle prison, collapsed due to what appears as a heart attack and was replaced by Benga. The corrupt chief officer then decided that Kokuri had to be moved into the same cell where Tsukiyo’s men were held. This would obviously put Kokuri in a dire situation. For that reason, Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada quickly arranged a plan to escape from prison.

4. Escape Plan from Hozuki Castle

Kokuri’s life is threatened. Boruto couldn’t allow that from happening, failing in a mission his currently taking care of. So, Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada start formulating a plan to escape from the prison.

There are 3 important things to vanish from such a guarded place. Firstly, look for escape routes without guards patrolling around. Secondly, get a boat to get ashore since the prison is on a small island. Lastly, free Kokuri from the jutsu, Katon: Tenro. Each of the members of Team 7 is assigned to certain tasks.

Mitsuki’s assigned to look for an escape route. He uses his snake technique to get into tiny places without leaving any trace or sound. He found a route, which uses the drainage system.

Finding a boat is Boruto’s task. He then asks Doragu about the schedule of the ships that connect Hozuki Castle with the mainland. The closest time is the following morning.

Meanwhile, Sarada is tasked with overcoming the jutsu, Katon: Tenro. In order to get free from this jutsu, a lot of water is needed. Sarada is able to get that amount of water from the underground water tanks.

Boruto and Mitsuki’s completed their tasks smoothly. Only Sarada’s that hasn’t been completed.

3. Kedama’s Past

Kedama overhears Team 7’s planning their escape, but he’s not interested in joining them. Yet Mitsuki doesn’t immediately believe him.

The reason for Kedama’s refusal from participating in their escape is revealed when he’s subdued by Mitsuki - as he tells his past that changed him into the man he is today. 

Kedama also tried to escape with his best friend, Kiku. They have made a solid plan, it was just about finding the right time. Then, on the D-day, Kiku was caught instead and killed by Benga. Kedama who witnessed the incident wasn’t able to do anything. In fact, the towering chief made up a rumor that it was Kedama himself who reported his friend’s escape attempt, then he ended up being labeled as a traitor by other inmates. 

2. Benga Finds Out Team 7’s Escape Attempt

Benga is getting suspicious about the strange occurrences happening in his prison. Starting from Sarada’s true intentions, snakes-filled water tanks, to Boruto’s questions about the ship’s schedule. He then orders his men to find and capture Sarada, as well as increasing the patrol. Luckily, the bespectacled girl is able to avoid all of that just in time. 

1. Sarada’s Task’s About to Fail!

Sarada’s task of opening the water valve becomes more difficult since she’s under much pressure. She has to find another alternative way so it actually takes more time than what she promised Boruto and Mitsuki. 

When this kunoichi leaves to give the signal to her friends, she gets toe-to-toe with Benga instead. It’s an inevitable fight. Unfortunately, the gas pipes next to Sarada blow up and throw her to the ground, leaving her unconscious.
