In last week’s episode, team Ino-Shika-Cho is working on a mission with team SHinki when they met Deepa. The power gap between the two sides is so big. The young shinobi lost to Deepa. 1. Shikadai Helps Boruto Train

Boruto still having difficulties with his Rasengan. He tried to strengthen Futon: Rasengan, but it’s still lacking. In the middle of his training session, Shiakdai visits Boruto.

After losing to Deepa, Shikadai understands why Boruto wants to get stronger. That’s why Shikamaru’s son is willing to help his friend train.

With Shikadai’s smart brain, Boruto gets new ideas that can strengthen his Rasengan. BOOM!

2. Sarada Wants Mangekyo Sharingan?

Sarada’s training finally bears fruit. After getting hit by Sasuke’s metal bullet, she managed to dodge it all. The difficulty of her training is raised by replacing the bullet with kunai. Sarada’s one-Tomoe Sharingan managed to track the kunai’s path and she managed to dodge it with a minor injury.

During her rest, Sarada asks Sasuke about Mangekyo Sharingan. She wants to obtain the strongest Sharingan form after reading about it in a book. The book explains that Mangekyo Sharingan is a rare dojutsu and only a few managed to achieve it and the method to obtain the dojutsu remains a secret.

As we all know, the method to unlock Mangekyo Sharingan is by witnessing the death of someone you love. There’s no way Sasuke can tell her only daughter about this.

3. Moms’ Heart to Heart Session

Sakura is worried about Sarada’s training after seeing Sarada’s body covered in bruises - not to mention her injury after fighting Deepa. But on the other hand, Sakura understands why the training is important. Sakura’s inner conflict left her upset.

Hinata saw Sakura’s condition. She told Sakura’s problem to Ino and they ask Sakura to dinner so they can talk about their issues.

4. Boruto’s New Idea to Strengthen Rasengan

Boruto and Shikadai keep working their brain to the fullest to make Rasengan stronger. Chocho and Inojin tried to help, but there’s nothing good.

After their training, Shikadai talks about how coal and diamond have different durability despite being composed of the same element - diamond is much stronger than coal.

From there, Boruto got an idea. “Density” is the key to strengthen his Rasengan. In the morning, Boruto put the idea into practice and his Rasengan shatters a boulder.

5. A Fight Against Shojoji 

Boruto went to Kakashi to show his new Rasengan. Kakashi knows about this and prepared the right test for Boruto, a fight against Shojoji!

Those are the five key points from Boruto Episode 170. Boruto finally found the method to strengthen his Rasengan. Unfortunately, we have to wait until next week to see Boruto’s new Rasengan. The preview of Boruto Episode 171 shows that the Rasengan is still imbued with Wind Release chakra.

The same with Sarada. She is now better at using her Sharingan. But, it’s still lacking.
