Boruto Episode 191 is out, so it’s time for the writer to make the weekly recap of the episode. But before we get into episode 191 recap, let’s have a quick look at what was happening last week. Kawaki was forced to remain at the scientific ninja lab. But he refused and tried to run away.

Thanks to Boruto’s sloppiness, Kawaki managed to escape with several ninja tools. He faced Sumire and Nue. But ultimately, Kawaki escaped with a bite mark from Nue on his hand.

What happened in this week’s episode? Let’s take a look!

1. Kawaki is Weakened

Kawaki fled from where he was held with a serious injury and an empty stomach. If you pay attention to last week’s episode, Kawaki refused to eat because he suspected that the food was poisoned.

In the opening, we see blood coming out of Kawaki’s hand. Meaning he is badly injured, famished, and possibly dehydrated.

Kawaki is willing to do anything to get food, even stealing. But he can’t cause a ruckus in such condition.

At that moment, Kawaki meets a hungry stray dog. They fight for a piece of bread that falls from a carriage.

2. Sumire Empathizes with Kawaki

Looking at the dog’s condition, Kawaki hands the bread to the dog and even used his clothes to bandage the dog. The dog then steals food and gives it to Kawaki. Sadly, the dog is chased by the shop owner and gets injured again.

Sumire came across the dog and the bandage. She then realized that Kawaki is the person who bandaged the dog. She then meets with Kawaki who threatens the shop owner for injuring a stray dog.

Long story short, Sumire felt that Kawaki is similar to herself. It’s true, they are both as “tools” by their parents. But Kawaki remains alert and refused to trust anyone.

3. Kawaki Caught!

Kawaki attacks Sumire because he thinks that the girl will inject him with a dangerous substance. But it’s actually a multivitamin.

At that moment, Team 7 appeared with the Konoha police creating a misunderstanding and everything turns south.

The police are getting ready to attack Kawaki and launch a Fire release jutsu from the Kore. Kawaki is forced to fight back.

4. Naruto Intervened to Handle Kawaki

On the other side, Naruto and Sai just arrived in Konoha and notices the commotion.

The cornered Kawaki activates his Karma and absorbs the Fire release jutsu from the police’s Kote. he condensed the jutsu, stirs it, and fires it back like a laser. He directed the laser at the police, but there’s a kid behind them. Kawaki notices the kid and redirects the laser to another place. At that critical moment, Naruto in his chakra mode arrives and easily blocks Kawaki’s attack.

Naruto took the initiative to monitor Kawaki as long as he remains captive in Konoha. Kawaki refused the offer but there’s nothing he can do as he lost consciousness.
