With the release of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation episode 204, it’s time for the author to discuss the episode. But before that, let’s talk about the previous episode.

Naruto and Kawaki were surprised with Jigen’s sudden arrival inside Naruto’s house, along with Kashin Koji who had been observing Naruto’s house with his frog kuchiyose the whole time. Even the Jounin who guarded the Seventh Hokage’s house were powerless against Jigen.

Although trying to protect Kawaki, Naruto got thrown to the other dimension with Jigen instead. Here, Naruto was seemingly about to be left alone and deserted. However, Sasuke came in a pinch just when Jigen was about to leave Naruto behind, as Sasuke controlled his time and space jutsu to track down their Chakra.

With that out of the way, let’s discuss how this week’s Boruto: Naruto Next Generation episode 204 goes!

1. Naruto Collabs with Sasuke

In this Boruto: Naruto Next Generation episode 204, Sasuke really comes in the nick of time to save Naruto, as both ninjas prepare to fight Jigen. This goes either way, as Naruto is really glad with Sasuke’s arrival since he can’t go home without him, while Jigen feels like this is going to be a hassle as he could’ve avoided this whole encounter had he left a minute earlier.

However, Sasuke doesn’t mind at all as he is confident he can defeat Jigen in this different dimension, and that fighting here is more convenient for Naruto to rampage without having to worry about destroying Konoha and hurting its villagers. Thus, the Naruto and Sasuke tag team begins.

2. Konoha’s Higher-Ups Respond to Jigen’s Attack

Boruto and Mitsuki run as fast as possible to Naruto’s house and are surprised to see the Karma sign on Boruto’s body fading away. Sarada who intends to deliver a flower bouquet for Kawaki’s also surprised to see the Jounin and her teacher Konohamaru lying unconscious with iron slabs on their body. However, it turns out everyone involved is still okay.

Kawaki’s still shocked by the event that transpires, he tells Sarada that Jigen has taken away the Seventh Hokage. After sensing the bad energy surrounding the village in the previous episode, Ino Yamanaka sends her team to investigate the situation and contacts Shikamaru about the ongoing abnormality, reporting that Naruto’s Chakra disappears after the evil energy appears in the village. In response, the vice-Hokage imposes an emergency situation across the village, asks the soldiers to close off access in and out of the village, and forms an investigation team.

3. Naruto and Sasuke’s Big Battle Against Jigen

The different dimension turns out to be a massive battleground for the big battle between Naruto-Sasuke and Jigen. Jigen’s hand easily absorbs Naruto’s Rasengan Chakra, to which he informs his teammate of Jigen’s ability.

Jigen also swiftly dodges Chidori and Sasuke’s slash, all while stabbing a slab of iron on Naruto and Sasuke. After analyzing Jigen’s abilities with Sharingan, Sasuke asks Naruto to hold off Jigen’s attack for a bit longer. He responds with Kage Bunshin no Jutsu to swarm Jigen with his clones, although Jigen easily wards off Naruto’s clones with his rain of iron slabs.

4. Kyuubi and Susano’o Team Up

Sasuke’s observation concludes that Jigen is actually rather simple but still annoying to deal with. Jigen has the ability to shrink any material to a mere atom, like Jigen’s iron slab ability that was so small it didn’t hurt Sasuke at all and becomes very painful when the iron slab increases in size. Additionally, Jigen’s vanishing ability also comes from his ability to shrink and enlarge the material. Seeing how Sasuke’s Sharingan visualization and Rinnegan which can unleash the time and space jutsu can make a deadly combination, Jigen intends to finish off Sasuke.

Jigen then reveals a horn on his head like the one Otsutsuki had, leading to Sasuke’s discovery from his previous investigation to Otsutsuki’s site where he met a young Juubi who could absorb all the Chakra in the world. Knowing the risk he imposes on the world, Sasuke in return wants to finish off Jigen as well by unleashing Susano’o. Naruto responds by unleashing his Kyuubi, but Jigen retaliates by slamming all of Kyuubi’s nine tails with his iron slabs. Meanwhile, Jigen’s powered up form is also capable of nullifying every attack Susano’o uses on him.

5. The Undefeated Jigen

Boruto: Naruto Next Generation episode 204 really shows some awesome fights with explosive effects. Naruto and Sasuke form a unique tactic to stand a chance against Jigen. First, Sasuke unleashes a Genjutsu to trick Jigen into thinking Naruto’s about to attack him with Rasengan. But instead of Naruto attacking, it’s Sasuke who intends to finish off Jigen with his sword. Unfortunately, Jigen realizes the trick and uses his own iron slab from his neck to parry Sasuke’s sword.

Even worse, Naruto and Sasuke are running out of Chakra. Jigen easily absorbs Sasuke’s Amaterasu and unleashes a rain of Chakra-absorbing wooden slabs on Naruto and Sasuke. As he is about to call forth a giant bowl to trap Naruto and Sasuke, Naruto demands Sasuke to save himself with his time and space jutsu. Thus, Naruto’s sacrifice allows Sasuke to return home, as Sakura screams in terror after seeing her husband dying in front of her.

And that’s it for Boruto: Naruto Next Generation episode 204. For the upcoming Boruto episode 205, Shikamaru Nara brings his troops to Naruto’s house in order to apply some wall protection, and he doesn’t want Kawaki to leave as he is the only link to the disappearing Naruto. Sakura is also treating the defeated Sasuke with her medic jutsu. On the other side, Kara’s headquarters is full of people who reunite as Jigen is about to prepare for his next evil plan.
