In the previous episode, Karasuno keeps on looking for the chance to penetrate the impregnable defense of Date. Kageyama is under heavy pressure, and he reverts back to his old selfish king of the court again. Can Karasuno make a comeback with the old Kageyama? Read the facts about Haikyuu season 4 episode 8 here!

1. Minus Tempo

Since Date is not a team that relies on guess block, quick attack such as minus tempo is effective against them. Hinata and Kageyama tried this strategy. Kageyama thinks that those who went to attack first loses.

This is why Hinata doesn’t jump faster than the usual. Hinata chooses to time his jump with his teammates to confuse Date’s blocker. In the end, the one to spike and score is not Hinata, but Daichi. The strategy ruins Date’s defense.

2. The Greatest Decoy

Hinata is the key to winning the match against Date. in the past matches, Hinata becomes a decoy to confuse the opponent because they always watch his movement, and that’s why they may get tricked by his movement.

Coach Ukai thinks that Hinata’s multi-directional movement will confuse the enemy. Because he moves all-around the court, the enemy will have to guess where he will go next. This is all possible thanks to the genius setter, Kageyama.

3. Kinoshita the Pinch Server

Yamaguchi hopes that coach Ukai will sub him in soon as a pinch server. However, Kinoshita is chosen since he masters the float serve. Kinoshita may be selected because his float serves looks the best during their practice.

During his first serve, Kinoshita successfully scores a point after the opponent tried to dig the ball, and it bounces out. But the second serve resulted in service out. Coach Ukai praises him since he doesn’t panic upon being called to play. Yamaguchi is motivated to master the float serve upon seeing this.

4. Hinata’s Sister

After the close match, Asahi sends the killing spike that penetrates Date’s defense and helps Karasuno win. A funny scene happened when Aone and Hinata paid their respect. No words come out of their mouth. Even after the match is over, Karasuno continued to practice.

Hinata’s sister, Natsu, is introduced for the first time. Natsu that looks similar to Hinata, becomes interested in playing volleyball after seeing her big brother playing at their house. Hinata trained by himself by bouncing the ball and doing passing and receiving. He does it while lying on his back and standing up.
