When he reached the city of Kuri which is filled with bandits, Oden was able to defeat all of the bandits in the area. After he successfully beat the bandits, including their leader in the city, Oden became the new leader.

2. The Reform that Oden Brought

Since becoming a leader, Oden was able to bring peace to the city of Kuri. First, he taught the criminals to work. Gradually, the city began to develop and a castle was formed. Kuri then became a city filled with freedom and laugh. Thanks to his achievement, Oden was given a title as Daimyo of Kuri by the shogun, Sukiyaki.

All that was achieved by Oden who just turned 20 years. He created rivers and wharfs to connect to each cities.

3. Inuarashi and Nekomamushi’s Past

When they were stranded on the shores of Wano, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi were bullied by the citizens, they were considered as monsters. Only Oden who cared about them and saved them from the citizens. This personality of his was admired by Shirohige and Roger.

4. Kozuki Toki

Oden’s wife who is also Momonosuke’s mother, Kozuki Toki was trapped in a castle that almost burned to the ground by Orochi and Kaido’s doing. At that time, Oden was already killed and what his retainers can do at that time was to save Kozuki Toki and Momonosuke.

When they arrived in the castle, Toki ordered Kinemon and the other to run away with Momonosuke. Strangely, Toki ordered them to go to the future. They were confused with Toki’s remark. 

Unexpectedly, Toki is the eater of Toki no Mi Devil Fruit who is able to send someone into the future. Toki also decided to send them to the next 20 years. Kinemon and the others were shocked after arriving in a future that has changed a lot.

Besides the city that Orochi had taken over, there were also tombstone bearing the names of Oden’s retainers including Momonosuke.
