With the release of Tokyo Revengers episode 10, it’s time for the author to discuss the episode. But before that, let’s talk about the previous episode.

Takemichi who tried to prevent Draken’s death on August 3 2005 was confused as to where he and Kiyomasa were. With hundreds of people brawling in the area, he got caught up in the mess and was unable to find them.

However, amids the gang war between Tokyo Manji and Moebius gangs, Takemichi saw Kiyomasa holding a knife dripping with blood. Kiyomasa seemed satisfied walking from a place where Draken’s body was seen unconscious. It turned out Kiyomasa managed to stab Draken and blood came out of his body. Takemichi was shocked after seeing the tragedy that befell Draken

With that out of the way, let’s discuss how this week’s Tokyo Revengers episode 10 goes!

1. Mikey Versus Hanma

On Tokyo Revengers episode 10, the gang war between Tokyo Manji and Moebius becomes even more chaotic. Tokyo Manji a.k.a. Touman leader called Mikey easily knocks down the Moebius underlings with his quick attacks and Nuclear Kick.

However, after hearing Takemichi’s scream and realizing his best friend Draken is unconscious due to a stab wound, Mikey goes berserk and takes down even more Moebius members. Moebius’ leader Hanma doesn’t sit idly as he throws away Mikey’s small posture. In response, Mikey flips back and attacks Hanma with his Nuclear Kick, but Hanma easily dodges it.

2. Rescuing Draken 

Draken lays unconscious and Takemichi becomes panicked, thinking that his effort to arrive from the future to prevent Draken’s death is now for nothing. However, a sliver of hope appears as Draken wakes up. Seeing the still-alive Draken, Takemichi finds hope and tells Mikey that his best friend is alive.

Mikey immediately instructs Takemichi to help Draken by taking him away from the battlefield while still fighting Hanma.

3. Kiyomasa Threatens Back

Hanagaki Takemichi carries Draken and runs away from the battlefield. Although Draken’s large posture gets Takemichi very tired, he doesn’t give up and intends to carry him to the hospital. On an alleyway, he meets his girlfriend Hinata Tachibana and Emma who loves Draken. Hina calls an ambulance and asks Takemichi to wait in the alley until help arrives.

However, the ambulance takes so long in the rainy night, to which Hina assumes it’s probably due to the Festival being over as well as the rain. Kiyomasa’s gang, the main suspect of Draken’s stabbing, suddenly appears in the alley and intends to finish off Draken. Fully awake, Draken asks Takemichi to escape with Hina and Emma.

Realizing that Takemichi has lost everything after running away from things, this second chance gives him the courage to not run away anymore in order to lose his girlfriend Hina.

4. Takemichi’s Counterattack

As courage surges within Takemichi, he approaches Kiyomasa. The previously postponed gamble between Takemichi and Kiyomasa continues, as Draken bets 100 million yen for Takemichi, and Hina also bets 100 million yen while Emma 300 million yen.

Kiyomasa and his friend simply laugh at the bet, seeing Takemichi is going to go down pretty quickly. Takemichi attacks first, but Kiyomasa counters by stabbing Takemichi’s hand. Seeing Takemichi screaming in pain, hina wishes to help but Emma prevents it due to the dangerous situation at hand. Takemichi manages to hold back the pain as he removes the knife on his hand and counters Kiyomasa with enough willpower.

5. Akkun and Takemichi’s Friends Arrive

Tokyo Revengers episode 10 shows Takemichi Hanagaki’s turning point. The one-on-one duel between Takemichi and Kiyomasa seems to be unbalanced due to Takemichi’s bloodied hand, but Takemichi doesn’t give up as he bites Kiyomasa’s stomach soon after. Seeing Kiyomasa distracted, Takemichi follows with a rear naked choke.

The continuous choke leaves Kiyomasa out of oxygen and knocks him down. Takemichi emerges victorious, although Kiyomasa’s underlings attempt to take him down.  He then asks Emma and Hina to escape the area.

Considering both Takemichi and Draken are fatally wounded, the battle with Kiyomasa’s underlings seems unbalanced. But thankfully, Akkun and Takemichi’s friends come in the nick of time after meeting Hina and Emma on the way. While they’re not the best of the fighters, their strong will and courage are enough to prevail. With that, Takemichi feels true victory exists for good people like them all.
