With the release of Tokyo Revengers episode 8, it’s time for the author to discuss the episode. But before that, let’s talk about the previous episode.
Mikey and Draken fought which left Takemichi angry and wished to stop the fight between these two skilled brawlers because he thought Draken and Mikey had ruined Takemichi’s wonderful memories.
Out of fear toward Mikey and Draken, Takemichi’s friends could only watch from their house but then became inspired by Takemichi’s courage and saluted him by saying “Sayonara Takemichi” while surrendering his fate to those two delinquents.
With that out of the way, let’s discuss how this week’s Tokyo Revengers episode 8 goes!
1. Takemichi Stops Mikey and Draken’s Fight
On Tokyo Revengers episode 8, with pure rage, Takemichi tries to stop the fight between Mikey and Draken by attacking the former. Knowing the difference in their strength and skills, Mikey easily dodges every attack Takemichi lashes out at him.
While attacking Mikey, Takemichi accidentally slips into a pile of trash with animal poop stuck on both his head and face. Despite his unfortunate situation, Takemichi manages to stop the fight as Draken and Mikey laugh out loud seeing the poop-infested Takemichi and both sides reconcile.
2. History of August 3 2005
With the conflict stopped, Takemichi believes he has changed the history by saving Draken who should’ve died from the brawl between him and Mikey.
Toward the start of the summer festival, Takemichi’s girlfriend Hina wishes to take him to the festival on August 3 2005. Emma, who seems to have a crush on Draken, also wishes to visit the festival with him. This is the exact date where Draken’s death was supposed to happen in Takemichi’s future timeline.

3. Hina Eventually Forgives Takemichi
The summer festival finally begins and the girls visit the festival wearing the traditional Japanese yukata. As if having a double date, Takemichi pairs with Hina and Emma pairs with Draken, although both couples split up in the middle of the festival. Hina remembers that time when Emma intentionally seduced Takemichi and went mad at him, even though Emma did that to get closer to Draken.
Hina eventually forgives Takemichi with the condition that he can win the games at the festival. Takemichi plays hard to earn the prize from the game although he fails. Then suddenly, rain falls and Hina and Takemichi take shelter under a tree not far from the festival. Because of her tight slippers, Hina hurts her feet.
Worried for her feet, Takemichi tries to comfort Hina, who then forgives him after his struggles to give her a present at the festival regardless of the result. The romantic ambience makes them about to kiss each other until Takemichi’s phone rings and ruins the mood.
4. Kiyomasha Gang Wants to Kill Draken
The notification from Takemichi’s phone informs him that a delinquent gang still wants to have a piece of Draken despite having stopped the brawl between Draken and Mikey. Realizing that the date August 3 2005 is the date where Draken is supposed to die, Takemichi leaves Hina behind at the festival to prevent Draken’s death.
In front of a shrine, several gang members are planning to murder Draken that night, among which turns out to be Kiyomasa who loves to bully Takemichi. Kiyomasu has prepared a knife for the murder, but then his underlings spot Takemichi eavesdropping their plan. They then bring Takemichi in front of Kiyomasa, punch him, tie him and leave him alone in front of the shrine as Kiyomasa and his underlings leave toward Draken.
5. Takemichi and Hina’s First Kiss
After being left alone while still tied up, Takemichi gets lucky as Hina comes to rescue him. Takemichi breaks down for being weak even after hanging out with Draken and Mikey in order to get stronger. Hina then kisses Takemichi to calm him down and said that that was her first kiss only for the person she loved the most.
Now with renewed spirit, Takemichi rises up and chases after them in order to prevent Draken’s death on August 3 2005 which also leads to Hina’s death the days after it.
