Masterpieces like One Piece are rare. That's because Eiichiro Oda's manga has been running for more than 25 years and continues to present stories that can satisfy readers, from unpredictable plots to the emergence of certain characters that shock netizens.
In the Manga OMO magazine published in 2002, Eiichiro Oda had mentioned his efforts in working on the One Piece manga. There are so many possibilities that could happen in the One Piece world, but at that time Oda still didn't know how to put all of that into the story.
"If I write everything that's in my mind, it will take about 20 years to finish One Piece," Oda said in an interview for the magazine. Not long after that, One Piece fans were unsure and laughed at Oda's words. In fact, One Piece is still ongoing. In other words, Oda has done what he said at that time.
For some time, Oda has indeed seemed inconsistent. Several times he has said that he will finish One Piece in the near future. But because he has put everything in his mind into the story, One Piece has finally run for more than 2 decades.
