The arrival of Katarina Devon and Van Augur in this episode is one of the most surprising. If Teach's crew is already in action, they must be planning something big. This time, they're trying to copy the power of one of the strongest fighters gathered at Egghead.

And Devon manages to touch Saturn, who was caught off guard after being hit by Luffy's attack. Saturn is curious and asks Devon why he wants to follow Teach. Devon says that Teach is "special." Saturn also knows this and briefly mentions his lineage.

In other words, Teach is descended from someone special. For those of you who have read the manga, you surely know who this person is. I won't give any spoilers for those of you who have only watched the anime. Most of you probably already know who it is.
