The MPL Philippines Season 15 (MPL PH S15) competition has entered the second day of the playoffs, where each team is still trying to secure a ticket to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. On the first day, we were presented with a play-ins match participated by ONIC PH, TNC Pro Team, Team Falcons PH and Twisted Minds PH.

From the play-ins round, two teams had to be eliminated. They are Twisted Minds PH and TNC Pro Team, meaning, two teams will advance to the next round, namely ONIC PH where they will face AURORA and Team Falcons will face Team Liquid PH. ONIC managed to win against AURORA, and TLPH also managed to defeat Team Falcons to advance to the next round.

This upper bracket final match is very prestigious, because they will lock tickets to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. There are only two tickets available, and one of them will be contested by ONIC PH and also Team Liquid PH. Who will get it?

Cripple Team Liquid PH, ONIC PH Qualifies for the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup!

ONIC PH's journey this season has been quite winding. They had ups and downs and even stumbled in the Regular Season. It's no wonder, as the defending champions they played from the play-ins round. However, the spirit of champions Kelra and friends did not diminish and became even more intense.

Evidently, they managed to get past Twisted Minds PH in the play-ins round with a score of 3-2. A fairly fierce match on the first day. Next, they will face AURORA as one of their strongest rivals. In the Regular Season, AURORA managed to defeat ONIC PH.

Again, another fierce match occurred for ONIC PH. In the end, they managed to win against AURORA and advance to the next round. They will also meet Team Liquid PH. The match against TLPH is very important for ONIC, because it ensures they will go to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup.

The match between ONIC and Team Liquid PH took place on Friday, May 30, 2025. Just like the previous round, this match was played in best of 5 (BO5) mode. Performing brilliantly, ONIC did not seem to have any difficulty at all. The path to victory was wide open for Kelra and friends.

Finally, a 3-0 victory was achieved over Team Liquid PH and ONIC PH qualified for the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup as the first Philippine team. Who will secure the second ticket from MPL PH? Let's just wait and see.
