At Marineford, Ace died at the hands of Akainu and the news has been widespread. Sabo who heard the news was completely devastated by Ace’s demise. There is a possibility that the one who will defeat Akainu will either be Luffy or Sabo. If it’s going to be Sabo, he probably will face Akainu with his Awakening. Then, will Sabo’s Awakening be able to defeat Akainu’s Magma?

At the moment, Ace’s Mera Mera no Mi has been eaten by Sabo, therefore the power has been inherited to him. It’s probably Sabo who will avenge Ace, not Luffy.

The big clash between Sabo against Akainu might occur in the future, but, is Luffy’s big brother competent enough to face the admiral? Back in Dressrosa, Sabo faced Fujitora, even though he had just eaten Mera Mera no Mi and yet to grasp full control over its power. Yet Sabo looked calm throughout the fight.

Not only that, but Sabo also fought Blackbeard Pirates’ first division commander, Jesus Burgess. Sabo seemed really calm against Burgess and managed to defeat him quite easily. His mastery of the Devil Fruit’s power is truly stunning. Perhaps it’s due to his natural talent.

Now, it seems that Sabo has truly mastered the power of Mera Mera no Mi. Yet he needs time to prepare himself before facing Akainu’s Magma. If you ever do a Google search, there are several kinds of flames in this world, red, blue, white, and black flames. In this case, let’s take red and blue flames for example.

Red flames have temperatures below 1000 degrees Celcius, perhaps around 800 or 900 C. While for blue flames, measure below 2000 C, around 1800 or 1900 C. One could say that blue flames are twice as hot as red flames.

Akainu’s Magma could still penetrate Ace’s body, which means it’s still hotter than Ace’s flame. If Sabo has mastered his skills and reached blue flames, he would have been able to match the heat of Akainu’s Magma. It’s also very likely that this blue flame will become an Awakening for Sabo.

However, if Sabo’s blue flame is still no match to Akainu’s Magma, it might be that his fire will evolve into a black flame. So, we’ll see, what kind of flames will Sabo show us in his showdown against Akainu. Keep in mind, that this is just an opinion from the writer of this article.
