Currently, we will prepare to welcome the arrival of the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025 Esports World Cup competition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The world-class MLBB competition in mid-2025 is back, bringing more fantastic prizes of course for the best MLBB teams from around the world.
Indonesia will be represented by two teams, namely RRQ Hoshi and ONIC. These two famous teams will compete for the championship title and a cash prize of millions of US Dollars. For the record, this is the first time RRQ Hoshi has returned to MSC after previously being absent in 2023 and 2024.
Meanwhile, ONIC will return to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup as an independent team after previously collaborating with the giant European team, FNATIC at the MSC 2024 Esports World Cup. Making this the third time ONIC has appeared as an independent team.
Responding to fans who doubted them ahead of MSC 2025, RRQ Hoshi team captain Hajirin “Rinz” Arafat stated that their defeat in the Grand Final was not due to the difference in ability between the two teams. Rinz considered that their defeat was due to their mistake in game 6.
Rinz's statement then sparked controversy among Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) fans in Indonesia. They stated that what he said seemed to disrespect ONIC as the champion. What kind of statement did Rinz make that sparked protests from fans? Check out the following review.
Rinz's Opinion Regarding Fans Doubting RRQ Hoshi at MSC 2025, Reaping Controversy!
In a recent event session on the Team RRQ YouTube channel, Rinz responded to fans who doubted RRQ Hoshi at the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. This was asked by the event host, Dhika Rezky. Rinz stated that their defeat in the MPL ID S15 Grand Final was due to their mistakes, not because of the difference in skill between the two teams.
"Maybe yesterday our loss was not because the enemy was good. It was our own mistake in game 6. But it wasn't just in game 6 that we made mistakes, from game 1 we were 'late to heat up' as they say. The mistakes that happened were ours, not the enemy's," said Rinz.
Rinz added that they admitted that in the MPL ID S15 Grand Final match there were several mistakes they made.
"Yes, we admit all the mistakes (from) all the players," he said.
There was a debate about what Rinz said, it seemed like he 'didn't respect' ONIC who won the MPL ID S15. Until this article was published, various excerpts of what Rinz said were still circulating on various social media platforms and reaping a lot of negative reactions from fans.
What do you think about what Rinz said? Is it true that what he said seemed inappropriate?
