The "Ichigo Production ☆ Fan Appreciation Festival 2023" event on Sunday, November 26th 2023 revealed a teaser visual for the second season of the Oshi no Ko anime and announced that the new season will premiere next year. The good news, HIDIVE also confirmed that they will broadcast the second season of Oshi no Ko.

Oshi no Ko, which was adapted from the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, was first broadcast in Japan on April 12th 2023 with a 90-minute first episode.

HIDIVE presents this anime simultaneously with broadcast in Japan and features an English dubbed version. Interestingly, this anime was called "the number 1 series in history on streaming platforms" by the company HIDIVE.

The first season was directed by Daisuke Hiramaki and Chao Nekotomi at Doga Kobo studio, with Jin Tanaka handling the screenplay, and Kanna Hirayama serving as character designer. Tells the story of an obstetrician and idol fan named Gorou who is shocked when his favorite star, Ai, suddenly announces a hiatus. This unusual story depicts the strange relationship that exists between them.

Akasaka and Yokoyari began serializing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in April 2020. The MANGA Plus service also released the manga digitally in English. Yen Press holds the license to the manga, which took first place in the seventh "Next Manga Awards" in 2021 and the Best General Manga category in the 46th Kodansha Manga Awards.

So, for fans who have been waiting, don't miss the second season of Oshi no Ko which is expected to present more intriguing and funny stories from the world of idols which is full of lies. Although there is no definite date yet, it is anticipated that the second season will air in 2024.
