Entering the second week of MPL Indonesia Season 16 (MPL ID S16), competition is heating up among the participating teams. With a transfer window available throughout the Regular Season, each team can make roster adjustments or changes after the season's roster lock period. This means that after the first week, they can use new players or coaches in the second week.
One of the hot rumors circulating ahead of the second week of MPL ID S16 is the BTR Dyrennn rumor circulating on various social media platforms. Rendy "Dyrennn" Syahputra, RRQ Hoshi's famous EXP laner, is rumored to be joining Bigetron by Vitality ahead of the second week of MPL ID S16. Indeed, Bigetron by Vitality suffered two consecutive losses in the first week.
News of the BTR Dyrennn rumor has been circulating on various social media platforms, especially through well-known streamers who seem to confirm the rumors. The BTR Dyrennn rumors eventually reached RRQ CEO Andrian "AP" Pauline, who expressed surprise at the sensational BTR Dyrennn rumors ahead of the upcoming second week of MPL ID Season 16.
Mr. AP then went live to clarify the BTR Dyrennn rumors. What was his response to this? Is it true that Dyrennn was acquired by Bigetron by Vitality? Check out the full review here.
Denying BTR Dyrennn Rumors, Mr. AP: No Players Are Leaving!
In a livestream on his YouTube channel, Mr. AP responded to the heated issue surrounding the BTR Dyrennn rumors that had become public knowledge. Previously, Mr. AP attended the closing ceremony of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was surprised to hear and see people questioning the veracity of the BTR Dyrennn rumors.
First, Mr. AP confirmed that RRQ Hoshi currently has seven permanent players in MPL ID Season 16. According to Mr. AP, the number of players will not decrease again this season, but he did not rule out the possibility of adding players if needed by RRQ Hoshi this season. He also concluded that the rumors about Dyrennn joining or being bought by Bigetron by Vitality are false.
"Number one, I already said I have seven players. This is Hoshi, let's talk about Hoshi first. I have seven players, none of them will leave this season. Those seven players are impossible to leave; they are impossible to leave until the end of the season. Adding more is possible, leaving is impossible. Adding more than seven is possible, less than seven is impossible," said Mr. AP. "What does that mean, guys? Dyrennn is at RRQ, he's not going anywhere," he said.
Mr. AP added that he was confused about the origins of the rumors about Dyrennn joining Bigetron by Vitality. According to Mr. AP, his team (RRQ) is not seeking profit by selling players due to the team's very healthy financial condition. Mr. AP reiterated that his team is not seeking profit by selling players to other teams.
"I'm also confused about where the rumors came from, seriously. I don't need to make money like this; RRQ already has a lot of money. I'm not trying to be arrogant; I'll sound like an arrogant CEO if I say something like, 'You arrogant CEO,' but the team already has a lot of money. My boss is already rich, Mr. Riki is indeed rich. So, there's no need for that, seriously. Number one, RRQ doesn't need money from selling players," added Mr. AP.
Finally, Mr. AP reiterated that RRQ is not seeking profit by selling players. He stated that the team's financial condition is excellent, as evidenced by various new programs, such as the construction of the RRQ Arena (in Manado and Bandung) and the RRQ Keliling Kota program, which has been running for almost four seasons in various cities across Indonesia. Furthermore, RRQ has never laid off any staff; instead, they have added new staff.
Mr. AP also emphasized that Dyrennn is staying with RRQ, and Sutsujin is also staying with RRQ and has not moved to any other team.
"Number two, we don't need money to sell players. The money is already there. We built the RRQ Arena, we spent billions, we've had the money all along, and seriously, nothing will happen. We don't need to lay off any employees; we're just continuing to recruit. Number two, there's no such thing as "Dyrennn, sir." Dyrennn stays at RRQ, and Sutsujin stays at RRQ. There's no transfer," he concluded.
